A Man Was Shouting On The Train Until An Elderly Woman Intervened In The Most Remarkable Way

Random acts of kindness are what make the world a better place. One man witnessed an act of compassion while riding the SkyTrain that he will never forget.
A Crowded Train
Compassion for one another seems to be dwindling in society, especially in crowded places like public transportation. Ehab Taha was riding the Vancouver SkyTrain in February when he heard an unruly man shouting in his vicinity. Mr. Taha, along with the other passengers on the train, were becoming frightened of the man. Mr. Taha said that the man was yelling obscenities, touching other passengers and the situation was escalating quickly.
While everyone tried to ignore the man, an elderly woman extended her hand to him. Mr. Taha told CTV news,
"She didn't try to grab him or anything like that, she just reached out her hand and waited until he reached back.”
Mr. Taha snapped a photo of the incredible moment on his phone. The man grabbed her hand and they rode together, hand in hand, for the next 20 minutes until the train reached the man's stop. As the man exited Mr. Taha heard him say, "thanks, Grandma," to the elderly woman then leave the train.
Sharing The Love
The woman began to tear up afterwards, Mr. Taha approached her and thanked her for the selfless act. She told him she has two sons of her own and knows that sometimes life "puts you in hard circumstances sometimes." The mystery woman is yet to be identified, but Mr. Taha sees her as an angel. He decided to share the photo on social media and it quickly went viral, here is his Facebook post.
Since sharing the photo, Mr. Taha's tale has caught worldwide attention. (Video may not play on all mobile devices.)
Compassion For All
A helping hand is an act of compassion and can mean the world to someone in need. Remember that everyone has ups and downs in life. We might never know what that man was going through to feel so much anger, but for a short time he felt like he was not alone in the world.
